About Brian Dunbar
President
Brian Dunbar is President of DCI offering complete software life cycle services to build and support commercial software applications. He is an expert in providing a wide range of enterprise IT services including applications development, operations, maintenance, business solutions delivery, information security, data management and analytics, IT governance, and technology business management.
Brian has extensive experience leading software development teams with a focus on reducing the overall costs of operating software systems utilizing web-based applications and open-source tools. Relevant programming languages and technologies include: AWS/Cloud, JAVA, Ruby, JAVASCRIPT, SQL Databases.
Brian has served as lead architect and developer for the design of enterprise-wide applications for a number of government and commercial clients, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), ARINC Incorporated, MDLabLink, and Aviation International (AvInt). At the MITRE Corporation, Brian served as Technical Lead for a group of software engineers in the development of real-time weather processing systems in the Weather Systems Engineering Department.
Brian graduated with highest honors in Computer Science from George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax, Virginia. He served as a Board Member for the Dean’s Information Technology & Engineering (IT&E) Alumni Development Board. He also served as President of GMU’s IT&E Alumni Chapter. Brian has served as a judge for numerous science and engineering fairs and previously served as Chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) National Capital Area Consultants Network.
